Whatever devil's own weather system decided to park itself over southern Wisconsin for the last three days or so, this morning at about 9:00, it finally moved its big butt. OH THANK GOD!!! Sinus issues of agony begone! I no longer wish to part company with my right eyeball.

... Gah, that was miserable. Let's not have a repeat of that one for the next several years.

Unrelated, has anyone heard from the ever-delightful thnidu lately? The last I saw, he was having horrible apartment issues to the tune of brrrrr freeeezing, and by now, he's usually made at least one Hanukkah post of warm fuzziness... I'm getting a little worried. Losing one online friend this week was bad enough.

I’ve known him in person for 20 years, and watching him deteriorate (at a distance since he moved away from Massachusetts a dozen years ago) is scary.

That might be me, yes.. sounds like he's ok though. Which is a relief... i'm reaching an age when if one's friends drop off the grid for a while, you worry.

I didn't ping him, but I read the updating commenter as knowing one of the worried people named, but not the other. I suspect I'm *that* other, as I only recognize that commenter's username in passing.

Good catch. If he doesn't poke soon, think medical complications happened? I'm outside of his city, and he knows that, if someone else knows his live name.

Re complications: I hope not. My first thought was something brought on or exacerbated by the heating situation (brother would I like to give his landlord a piece of my mind...) and I know I'm speculating where I shouldn't, and probably catastrophizing like mad, but again...

I for one don't know his RL name. Oh gosh! I believe he has at least one sister online? I don't want to go that route, because hello intrusion, possibly over nothing at all, but... this flipping autumn, I tell you.
