Wisconsin is the latest state to get blanketed in snow, then rain, then hail, then snow, then hail, and on and on again all day. Bleh. Language study happened, but by the time I got out of class and was halfway back from Hyde it was doing the snow/hail/rain and repeat thing, and Bosco and I were both drenched. Luckily Dad was driving in and happened to spot us, or we'd have been even more drenched then we were. Yay for a lift halfway home. The later class of the day didn't happen, and even if it had, I'd e-mailed Dr. Schwarz saying I couldn't come in because between the snow and the ice and the status of the sidewalks which was hit or miss depending on where you were heading, I didn't dare. Blindness+snow+unshoveled sidewalks+sketchy distance judgment=ih.

Tonight I had to go carry my room application for next year over to Goodhue, and between the snow and the wind and the drifting and *my* drifting and those unshoveled sidewalks again I had a *time*. I wound up asking two passing people who saved my rear. Thank goodness for decent travelers. After that was over I came home, took a long, hot shower and now feel all warm and fuzzy. Warmth is good.

As far as state goes, apparently it's on. I had a phone call from Janine just a few minutes ago saying it was likely a go, and that the final decision will be made by eight tomorrow morning. Bosco went back to Waupun with Dad when he left Whitewater because we haven't got room for much else on the trip to River Falls... that and I needed a couple days just to be myself without the dog. I love him dearly, he's a wonderful guide and a wonderful friendly fuzzball besides, but sometimes a girl needs her space.

I'm going to dry my hair, then zonk out. And what the frak? I just saw a television preview for next week's ER and apparently Carter's coming back? Ooh! I just told Katie next door and she was all excited too. I hope he stays!
