strangeness

I've had a night full of the weirdest, coolest dreams I've had in a long time. That combined with being nearly caught up on editing roleplay logs for Lina, and X'lasar transferring into Firedance--yay, [livejournal.com profile] l0uisiana! and hearing a song that's put me in mind of all my friends in Melbourne, has left me feeling closer to warm and fuzzy than I have in a while. Yay!

to quote the dream, or paraphrases from the characters' actions in the dream:

A little girl speaking to a seventy-something man walking down a sidestreet branching onto Center in Janesville:
"You were blind? Didn't they have a school then?"
"No, I helped build the school, right out in the middle of a field. And every day we would hear that bell ring..."

Another little girl, on why she couldn't go traveling in a big blue police box, much as she'd have loved to:
"I can't, I have to be home. If I don't get home, my mother will be mad, and then I'll have to sleep in the spare closet till I'm in *sixth* year!"

that same little girl, while climbing up a hidden ladder in said spare closet... a ladder that somehow lead through the Tardis floor:
"wait, what about Adric? Can't we take him with us? We can't just leave him! My mother will mistreat him! Adric, Adric!" *sniffle*

That seventy-something man and the first little girl, after both have been singing to a soundtrack playing out of thin air:
*single notes are played on a distant accordion, forming a descant to the music in the air*
"Really? Wow. And I think I hear Sarah."
"No, that sounds like it's my accordion calling to me from my upstairs window."

Don't blame me, blame my subconscious! and if you're wondering, both little girls were the characters I saw the dream through the eyes of. They seemed to be manifestations of me during my really early years... although I flaming well wasn't Susan when I was that young! And I've never dreamed about Adric before... what the heck?

apparently that seventy-something man was leading the first little girl to somewhere she was familiar with, as she'd gotten lost. which is very likely, as I tend to get lost about once a day. And the second... hmm. victorian era America meets the edge of the prairie meets a real wench of a matriarch meets... well, time travel. Weird. Cool, but weird.

I blame this on having been reading *way* too much fanfiction lately. And I have no idea where the Victorian house or the accordion music or... pretty much anything beyond Susan and Adric's arc came from. *boggles* oy, I'm going to go get ready for class. I confuse myself sometimes...
