*puzzles* weird dreams
Dec. 19th, 2005 05:27 amWeird dream central, but maybe there's a meaning here.
This is the second night in a row that I've dreamed that people have thought I spoke a language that I didn't. Last night it was Arabic, and from the surroundings in the dream I'd place it as having been set somewhere in the Persian Gulf. And tonight it was Italian, in an airport and a taxi on the outskirts of Rome. Odd, odd, odd. And both times I'd swear the language I heard spoken was genuine, I just couldn't translate any of it. I wonder if that's telling me I should go learn a language, or pick up Spanish where I left off... hmm.
I do remember telling someone in the first language-inspired dream that I was tempted to learn Arabic after my encounter, and that carries over into reality. As for Italian, it's pretty sure, but... no thanks, y'know? No offense to anyone who does speak it. I think I've got my hands full with getting along in Spanish, melting over Portuguese and now maybe Arabic. Hmm though... I think my subconscious is hinting at me.
Or maybe it's just me worrying over my language study final...? No idea.
Either way, something to think about. And I did go international radio station sniffing just for the heck of it, and found a new station as a result. Woo! The conscious results of dreams...
