Kind of a quirky sheep, but still.

I've noticed lately that lots of people are picking names for their laptop/car/whatever, and I thought ok Charlie, you've had this lovely little laptop of yours for three years now and you still haven't named it. So I embarked on the quest to give my Dell a name.

I fleetingly considered Druscilla, after Zelleath's rider at Skies, but decided against that one after I realized it'd constantly make me think of freaky weird Dru from Buffy bleh!

I thought maybe Excelsior, since it's had it's breakdowns, was heralded as wonderful and is to its owner, and has also saved my rear end. But it just didn't seem right.

And then clang *clang*! I suddenly got it!

Blame this one on too much DS9, and the fact that this thing's a rather temperamental friend but always comes through in the end.

His name is Quark.

My car's name is Martha, short for Matharoir, the Gaelic word for "survivor." I figured, since it's been hit three times since January for a total of over $10,000 worth of damage, but still treats me right, the name fit

My two previous cars were named after dragons. My brand new RAV is named the TARDIS (had to!). My computers are named after Harry Potter characters (Albus, Severus, Remus, and Fawkes). One of my guitars named himself Kieran. Oddly enough, the red Fender Stratocaster I've had for over 10 years hasn't deigned to name himself yet.
