Yep. If anyone's interested, I've gotten the yearly poke in the arm, because no one needs influenza, and I'm on public transport roughly every other day. I have zero desire to either catch something myself or be someone else's vector. One moment of ouch! it is.

My reaction, on the vaccine itself going in, was something like "Ah, oh *hi!*" in a conversational if slightly pained tone of voice. The pharmacist said he's the same way; some years he barely feels the stick, and some are wince-worthy. I'll take a few seconds of mild discomfort over the awful crud, that's for sure.

One thing I was definitely glad to be made aware of: I was nowhere near the only one getting a vaccine today. Score one for this corner of the world.

In all honesty, i am prone to getting viciously ill post flu vaccine, so I'm planning on waiting until early October and bundling it with the "oh gods, the covid booster is making me super cranky and ow."

(Because I know how this will go, but also my immune system is definitely not a commit ready system.)
