Oh, frak me. Hawkmoth has all but four* of the Miraculous? *Including* Rena's? And oh, jeez, renouncing a kwami strikes me as one of the worst, most heartbreaking things you can do, so of course it happens three times in one episode. Rena, no! :( Not that I'm sorry to see Gabriel lose Duusu, though that brings up the idea of Nathalie having had to renounce or at least be willing to share the use of her Miraculous with her boss... I sincerely hope it was the latter, and that only Gabriel has since renounced Duusu, while Nathalie hasn't. Émilie certainly hasn't. On the subject, Sabrina never renounced Barkk, that we know of.

Oh, shells. This is going to be a mess, if a hopefully entertaining mess, at least at first. Retrieval, one by one, of seventeen Miraculous. And *Félix* has Duusu and the peafowl Miraculous? Oh, no! Talk about your evil wielders. Duusu doesn't deserve that. Nathalie|Mayura is driven by loyalty, even though she's on the wrong side. Félix\whatever his name is - if he tries to call himself Mayura, I'm going to be furious - is only out for his own gain. He doesn't even have Hawkmoth's misguided purpose behind his actions.

At least the citizens of Paris are backing the heroic duo, by the sound of things. Well, save a few probable suspects - Chloé and Lila.

*Liiri! I just remembered, Liiri is still free, isn't she?

Hawkmoth has all but three from this Miracle Box, yes. Liiri is still, to the best of our knowledge, safe in New York with Jess. We know there are many others, most of which are probably still in the revived Temple, and I think Astruc listed off the rest of Liiri's box on Twitter, but we don't know anything else about any of them. Unless Fei's bracelet is a Miraculous, which I can neither rule in nor rule out; Meishi certainly looks like a lion kwami now that his role as the lion guardian of the Prodigious needs him to stay with Fei and that pendant, rather than scaring people back out of the cave the pendant was in.

Felix has much better reason for his actions than Hawkmoth, I'd say. Unless it turns out that the "Adrien and Felix are sentis" theory is false, of course, but I'm certain it's not and they are, and Adrien doesn't know this but Felix does. Felix has no reason to believe Ladybug and Chat Noir value senti lives any more highly than Hawkmoth does—Felix watched Ladybug and team gleefully drop multiple sentis into the sun!—and if Felix has both the Peacock Miraculous and his own amok, nobody can control him and nobody can unmake him.

Current theory, since he traded back the ring he stole off Gabriel's hand, is that Felix's amok is the other ring he wears, the one that Winny from the show staff said on Twitter in the past couple days belonged to Felix's father. Who died sometime between when Emilie did and Felix's title episode. Which is potentially significant timing, given that only one senti per Peacock wielder can exist at a time, and the show has said exactly as clearly that Emilie died of delayed effects of using the Peacock Miraculous as it has said that Adrien and Felix are sentis.

By which I mean it's almost entirely on the animators, not the writers or voice actors, and can they please pry some budget away from the once-more-delayed movie to pay for audio description? The main things we know about the movie are, one, it's a different continuity from the show, it's gotta be because it's combining elements of Origins and the end of S5, and two, its budget is through the roof. And I know audio description tracks for the first three seasons exist in French, but the show is distributed in many different languages! And while I'm daydreaming about accessibility, I'd like the French subtitles to exist in a form that's more transcribed from the French audio than translated from the English script!

Anyway. Historical use of the Peacock Miraculous, per Astruc on Twitter, involved a different person wielding it every time. Precisely because the same person creating multiple sentis would of necessity mean disposing of their earlier sentis, that is, treating sentis as disposable. The way Hawkmoth does and Ladybug and Chat Noir cannot stop him from doing.

Yes, please, with the audio description in multiple languages! Oh my goodness. You know I'd especially appreciate that and why, but I can't possibly be the only one.

Re constructs as disposable: There is a difference, at least as I see it, involving wielder intent and sentimonster/sentinel creation. I'm specifically thinking of my Émilie here, and the idea of sentimonsters/sentinels as something like combination assistance and talisman, and not assuming human-level intelligence in every instance, but if I go any further down this road, I'm going to spoil the socks off "You'll Be Just Fine". Do you want to know?
