Would you ever write a trans character?

The short answer is yes, I would.

The long answer is that doing justice to a trans character, trying to strike an effective, realistic balance between yes, they're trans and no, it is not their single defining characteristic kind of intimidates me. I reeeeeally don't want to foul up. This goes double because I'm CIS, so have no lived experience of my own to draw from. So yes, I'd write a trans character (or a few), but I'd want to make darn sure I hadn't done horribly at the writing!

I would indeed! I'd have to work out exactly when and how they'd meet, because time-hopping shenanigans as well as future fic are both genuine possibilities, and the one depends on a specific assist while the other takes another sort of planning entirely. But sure, I'd do it.
