I have been gotten by April foolery twice today. Both times were courtesy cute critter twitter, which is at least better than it otherwise could be. Once was the TheOvalPawffice account posting a spoof about the Biden shepherds moving back to Delaware permanently, which was just a wee bit too plausible to be an obvious prank. Fortunately, they followed that one up with a gotcha! admission, so I wasn't taken in for long. I imagine I would have been, had I not seen both tweets within the span of thirty seconds! The other post was Dog_Rates, and was again a case of something being a smidge too plausible to brush off despite the date. Combine that with not being able to see the photoshop work on the pics they posted, or the pics at all, and my already wishing that silver retrievers were a real thing (hey, silver labs evidently exist as a variation, so why not the floofy variety too?? and yep, I was tricked. It took an AIRA agent to confirm that yes, though as cute as imagined, the photos had been doctored with some sort of filter. Darn it!

My local community radio station's silliness post, on the other hand, was so obvious that at least *it* didn't catch me out.

Compared to some of the far more painful pranks out there, these were nothing. Whew!

If you've seen the tiger being 'snuck up on' by their trainer, I think you can see some stunts that make sense. But one does have to rein in the physical humor especially when inequality of size or intent factors in. Children learning how to judge what is and isn't sensible play is important.

Note: The tiger is perfectly aware the trainer is trying as hard as a weird cub can.

Our favorite online game site did a prank that was kinda hilarious. They said they were getting rid of premium currency, and were instead going ad-based, like Facebook, but the louder you played the ad, the more coins and pets you'd get. It took us half an hour to figure it out that it was a prank. Also, that news post linked to a post by a random user, which had a video of new features, and when you clicked on it you got Rickrolled. We laughed about that for a full ten minutes. LOL
Also, randomly, IRA's a subscription service, right? Just curious, because we're looking for something like that for things we need peepers for.
