New laptop is go!

chanter1944I'll explain in greater detail when I'm not contending with a case of the tireds, but yes, I have a new laptop. I still feel rather bad about the old one, Quark's successor, which worked very well but was, by the end, literally falling apart. It never told me its name. :(
This laptop, I believe, is Dolly. Thank you very much, video/audio clip played on NPR this morning! This particular machine arrived exactly when needed, came in with a pleasantly surprising lack of fuss, worked from the start (only one minor hiccup, easily sorted, so far), and seems to have few if any bothersome quirks. Plus, I frankly like the idea of a laptop getting on with things with a jovial wisecrack and a wink. So, Dolly she is.
