If a gal were thinking of commissioning either an icon or two, a full-sized color drawing, or both of Émilie Agreste transformed into Paon Bleu circa the reality washed with the fantastic AU that is the Not Alone 'verse, including all the costume details (and the real wings and tail) described in "You'll Be Just Fine", where the heck would she even start?

Asking because I don't know poop about art commissions, and I know even less about artists' styles or skills, but I would love art of my Émilie even though I can't see it.

I can curate you a list of my favorite ML fanartists on tumblr who have commission price sheets up; it will take me a bit though

and one thing I am not sure how you and the artist you choose to commission will handle it: there's generally at least one round of the artist going "here's the current draft; do you want any changes before I go to the next stage?"

I may end up asking someone familiar with the AU to look the draft over, should it get to that stage. Seriously considering asking you, as I know you a) know the AU and b) are good at describing these things.

Although if an artist who uses palette knives and paint depth effectively were to make the work, you could feel it!

True. Knowing that the work is visually correct for this character is important to me, though.
