I gave in and went to visit family in Fond Du Lac County for a few days. Currently staying with my parents, in the house I grew up in. My sisters are keeping clear of everyone, as they were before I came to visit - one has her own family, including kiddos and a diabetic husband, the other is percolating a kid and still working besides - but there has been facetiming with nieces, which is fun. There has also been biking, fish fry, and the scrubbing of one scuzzy coffeemaker. Everyone is still social distancing, but that's a little easier in a small town.

I'm not sure how long I'll be up here. It's definitely a change, but being less in my own head isn't hurting me.

Yay for fish fry!

One thing I miss, living out here. There are places one can get fried fish, but it's really not the same. And part of what makes fish fry special is being out and partaking of the food with others, which isn't happening most places these days. Restaurants in California that haven't closed for the duration are takeout or delivery only while the shelter-in-place order is in effect.

Yay also for biking, which is my preferred form of exercise and easy to be socially distant while doing. Hope there are enough good times for that in the notoriously changeable weather of the season.

What is Wisconsin's current lockdown state?
