Written earlier today, about Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-Arizona)'s assertion that Democrats are tearing families apart with impeachment proceedings:


I can appreciate a vehement characterization of events and their fallout, but considering this administration's policy of actual, literal family separation and its results - someone can play the footage again, sound up, if you need a reminder of the screams - do you *really* think that's the wisest choice of words you could have made here? If the answer is yes, we've got bigger problems than a tone deaf clanger of an illustration.

I wouldn't bet money on the answer not being yes, at that.

but no matter what people like my parents think, I do not think that's the fault of the blue side of the aisle

seeing as the blue side of the aisle generally acknowledges that people like me do real and maybe shouldn't be treated as lesser

and the red side of the aisle, including such notables as my parents and the man they voted into the Oval Office, does not

Been a year and four months now, yeah

I noticed that I have been hiding from FB for the last few days because I had several family members/friends who had been Trump supporters for single issues (✡️Israel/forced birthers).

They've each come around because either the anti-Semitic attacks or those family separations were *finally* steps too far for them, but they started becoming completely unglued before the weekend "I didn't know, I didn't realize he was *that* bad!!?!?" Hmph, believe the Atlantic City people were telling you the absolute truth, NOW?!?

So, I'm letting them melt down without watching FB. It takes no prophetic skills to realize that the repeat sexual assaulter of minors taking money from Russian mobsters would continue doing so as he got more public power...

I'm studying for rabbinic pastor ordination. Hard not to see signs in the Russian bear attacking what's left of our democracy and thinking of finding a cave with a carob tree to hide from everyone. ✡️😲🤔🤬😡
