I'm reviving my tiny fandoms challenge from last year. That book that you adore but are sure no one else has heard of? That movie you and four other people saw in theaters? The television show you and a friend might've been the only ones in the country watching? They all need love too. My challenge is to go forth and make the teeny fandoms of the world a bit less teeny.

I really need to take up my own challenge...

Tiny fandoms?

The Moorchild. I just re-found this book and haven't reread it yet and have no idea if the sense of the setting that has haunted my dreams is even findable within this book, and yet.

The Tripods

I loved The Tripods, a BBC series from the 1980s. It was so well done. Gripping story. Lovely actors. And it was canceled on a cliffhanger so I can't in good conscience drag new fans into it. (It was based on books so you can read the books to sort of figure out how it ended, but the show didn't follow the books exactly so that's not fully satisfactory.) At some point I should go hunting to see if there's any good fic.

I adore small fandoms and I agree that they need more love! I run a few small fandom communities that you could write or prompt for, or just use to spread the word, if you're interested:

~smallfandombang - A big bang; artist claims are this week.
~smallfandomfest - A bi-annual fic/art fest that next runs May-July. We also do fandom pimps.
~smallfandomflsh - A flashfiction comm; a new challenge is posted every two weeks.
~smallfandom_nb - A noticeboard (announcement) comm.
