In the wake of the Enterprise-B's christening and the ribbon disaster, Ensign Demora Sulu gets a comm call. Or, a wizard needs, and the Powers answer. Spoilers and mega plenty for Star Trek: Generations. Hikaru Sulu is a great and not at all absent dad, frak you tie-in novels. Men do indeed cry. Women do indeed kick butt. Both reverses are true too. Rand is a good mom, Chekov is a cool uncle. Lotsa wizardry is abroad in subtle but distinct ways. Excelsior is alive.
