TW for minor medical details dealing with eyes. Nothing too gross, but if eye stuff squicks you, skip down to the last paragraph; it's safe.

In good news, the pink eye and the sinusitis are both G-O-N-E gone! Thank *God*. And thank God I had no chance of passing the horrible crud to the kiddos climbing all over me and everyone else at Christmas.

In not so good news, sometimes, if you futz with your eye enough when trying to get your sinuses to oh my lord drain already come ooooon, you irritate the heck out of said eye, causing it to water up a storm even when the rest of the issues have cleared. Which I did. One morning trip to the clinic later, and I now know what the heck is going on. Shortly off to pick up some lubricating gel and a mild anti-inflamatory drop thingie. On a scale of one to aaaargh, this is pretty darn minor. Whew. And I have almost a full week off to enjoy, on top of it. WHEW, I say!

Unrelated, Christmas was a fun time, as ever. I'm now back on the isthmus, with an entire week in front of me and nothing infectious in sight. Score! ... Truly, I'll take a minor eye irritation over anything worse.

Now it just needs to stop raining. It can snow any time, though. Snow doesn't generally freeze into glare ice overnight.

Yay for better eyes!

And, watch your language, woman! "Snow" is a four-letter word.

(OTOH, most people in your neck of the woods actually know what to DO when they get several inches of partly cloudy in their driveways. This side of the Cascades? ha ha. Not so much.

_That_ is what studded snow tyres, and Yak-Trax, are for. Also, walking like a penguin. :)

And the flatness of Wisconsin.

We had a blizzard last month.

It was 2 inches.

I have assimilated enough that I sighed, reminded myself that our city does not put anything toward winter weather, and wondered how I ever survived growing up in Alaska.

And then reminding myself that I dont live somewhere where it snows 6 odd inches at a time on purpose.

Yipes ... glad you've gotten treatment for the miseries.

If I'd written the "why I love my neti pot" post, I would link you to it, but it's still in my drafts folder :,)

Right now, the delightful Weather Gods app predicts 15° by tomorrow afternoon, so maybe it's time to dig out the Yaktraks?
