stardreamer, I just found your favorite scene in that book, and I see the reason why it's so! I'm a fan of the moment when Sulu, Chekov, and Khiy pile out of the access tunnel to great acclaim, myself.
Not so much a fan of what T'Leiar and her comrades did, however. That horrified me, and my reasoning is probably also plain, by now. And I will not play 4D chess with that version of McCoy unless he's laid his intentions on the line.
Also me, earlier in the novel: Oh so *that's* where Naraht came from! He must get promoted in a later book, because he was Lt_Naraht when he hit Milliways.
