In your own space, write a love letter to Fandom in general, to a particular fandom, to a trope, a relationship, a character, or to your flist/circle/followers. Share your love and squee as loud as you want to. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.

You, over there, on the flist. You, over on AO3. And you, at Milliways, and you, on twitter. And you, too! Thank you *so* much for not laughing or fleeing in the other direction when I squee, or flail, or bawl like a kid, or confess something that I'm terrified is ridiculous and abnormal in the wrong sorts of ways. Thank you for understanding, or agreeing, or offering a thoughtful counterpoint, or assuring me that no, you're actually not messed up in unhealthy ways, or squeeing and/or flailing right along with me. Thank you for getting the references. Thank you for quoting and quoting back. Thank you for extending metaphors in running chains of comments. Thank you for giving me hope that I'm not the overinvested, oversensitive, humorless girl I've long been taught to believe I am. Thank you for slowly but surely teaching me that in fact, what I am is a nerdlady fan among fen, and that that's actually *welcomed*, more than just tolerated, in some circles.

Without the lot of you, I would be far lonelier, minus the tenuous grasp on self-acceptance I have now, and clueless to many of my orientation's variables. That 'being a lady bluerider' tag? Not coincidental. I owe all of you.

Yes, occasionally there can be drama. Yes, once in a while something metaphorically blows up. Fortunately, the blow-ups seem to also blow *over* with reasonable speed, once an issue or other gets addressed. Thank goodness.

Basically? <3 <3 <3 <3!!!

Glad that you found a place for yourself in the fandom. And for not putting up with the idea that you are to be constrained to someone else's idea of what your identity should be, in or outside of fandom.
