chanter1944: a house and road blanketed in snow (Wisconsin winter: buried in snay)

Just the end of the beginning. Thank you, Winston Churchill.

53-42 in favor of the budget despair bill (garbage barge bill? thank you Rep. Hulsey) in the Assembly. Walker hasn't signed it yet. And we. are. fighting. To the four GOP representatives who voted no - Tranel, Nerison, Kauffert, Spanbauer - *thank you!* You did the decent thing, the human thing, when the original bill passed the Assembly. You've done the same today. Thank you all.

To Senator Schultz, who did the decent thing, the human thing, yesterday: Thank you, sir.

To the 38 Democratic Assembly members who voted no today: thank you all.

To the Fabulous 14, *thank you*. All of you. You are heroes. You are icons.

To Walker and the rest of the GOP?

You say we won't take this to the streets. Aside from the obvious (look out a *expletive deleted* window!) we. will. prove. you. wrong! We will also catch you in another lie, and what's one more? We already have a list of your lies as long as my arm. You may not have wanted a war, but you're getting one. The snow rally two weeks ago was huge, yes. and unprecedented as a demonstration of peaceful public outcry.

It was nothing, *nothing*, compared to what's coming.

Today we process this. Tonight and tomorrow we spread the word.

Saturday we take to the streets. Like. never. before.

And in the meantime, we recall the eligible GOP Senators so decisively even *they'll* admit their constituants might've wanted it. This day we fight.

Tomorrow we make today's fight look like a warm-up.

If you can't tell, I'm shattered, furious, and still in this for the long haul. As I said over twitter earlier in reply to someone's possibly rhetorical question, when the government breaks the law? Time to get a new government!
