scarcity update
Dec. 14th, 2011 03:56 pmThe laptop is still busted, though the lovely tech-savvy family friend has it, plus all the necessary components for fixing it. Barring anything icky happening when he tries to install the OS on the new hard drive, I should hooooopefully have it back tomorrow. One, touch wood. Two, bless Adam (the tech-savvy friend) lots.
On the up side, I think I know the laptop's name once she gets back to me. I'll share it after she works again. ... So my notebook has a gender. Hey, Dairene Callahan's associate Spot was nominally a he. I always called Quark a he, still do. I've been inclined to call the new computer female from the start. So sue me. :)
