down and safe
Sep. 2nd, 2008 12:58 pmYes,as the subject implies, I'm home and great! :D :D :D
The securing an apartment and job thing is still happening, and it's a lot easier now I'm actually *in* the state in question. for the moment, my things are all at my parents' place, though that's very much with the temporary. Driving through the night instead of staying over in Nebraska was rough in places, but it was definitely doable, and getting to Wisconsin at six in the morning instead of six in the evening was *very* much worth it. That, and I'm not a huge fan of hotels... right.
And I'm feeling better than I have in months, both physically and emotionally. I'm sure I'll be getting backlash from my brain once the shift in distance catches me up, but I can handle that. I'll take the consequences of a significant location change if it means as welcome an environment as this one. I've slept like the dead for the past two nights, and that says something given how my sleep schedule likes to flip itself around. I was in the process of reversing it back to normal when I left Colorado, and I thought for sure the overnight trip would have mucked up the progress I'd made. Happily though, it didn't. Just the opposite, in fact.
So yes, folks, I'm back! SouCon I've already returned to (yaaaay!), Milliways I'll be doing the same (yaaaay!), and RL? Well. That too. I have at least some energy again, if nothing else. Forget the parentheses, yaaaaay!
