Colorado=lack of posts, apparently
Aug. 23rd, 2008 11:18 pmYes, I'm still in Colorado. This is just me letting everyone know that I'm alive, relatively well mentally and perfectly alright physically, and needing to update like mad... but you probably already knew that. So did I, trust me.
Colorado=lack of energy for much once the day/week is over. I blame some of this on altitude, some on the whole 7:00 to 17:30 day thing, and some on my fitting like the proverbial square peg issue. More on that later.
but yes, my extreme lack of motivation for much explains my SouCon, Milliways and AIM scarcity. thankfully, all that should change in a little over a week. I know I've said this time and time again with no results, but I really will be getting... you know... active again soon. Reason?
I'm going home. Home as in Wisconsin, not middle-of-nowheresville or my parents' place or anything quite so specific. There's an active job and apartment search going on just now, focused on Madison and Wausau - the one for relative closeness to quite a few important things/people and the whole liberal city thing, the other for some serious family connections and generally being an awesome place. I should be home by the first of September, give or take a day. Then it'll be secure apartment, secure job, adopt Daisy! and generally get on with my life.
I'll be making a Colorado post in far, far more detail soon. For now, yes, I'm alive. :)
Edited to add: the broken support at the back of my desk that I've been bracing my feet precariously on all summer just gave way entirely. Now it's on the floor. Somebody (maybe even me, gasp) needs to put new nails/staples in the thing. Colorado=busted furniture, too. Heh.
