impromptu drabble meme response
Jun. 9th, 2008 11:19 pmI've been meaning to get back in to writing these, and now I finally have! It's a bit clumsy, but it's definitely a start. Expect more in the near future.
Title: Don't Bring Me Flowers
author: Chanter
Series: TNG, post season 7
Rating: G
Pairings: Geordi/Leah
Summary: Leah Brahms doesn't expect bouquets of flowers as tokens of affection. Written for medie.
she's never had a particularly green thumb; metal silver's more her color, always has been, always will be. Flowers as romantic gifts have always been a little much, a fraction too visible, a shade too obvious. She's never been one for giving or receiving large numbers of blossoms - better to let them grow, in her opinion.
To her, there are smells just as sweet as a noseful of roses; hot coffee and recycled air, harnessed energy and fabric, tempered alloys and standard issue linen and the clean warmth of Geordi's skin.
Leah Brahms doesn't expect bouquets of flowers as tokens of affection. She's not that sort of person.
when a yellow rose is unexpectedly tucked behind her ear by a silently grinning chief engineer, it's all the sweeter for the artless, heartfelt gesture behind it. Flowers aren't usually her thing.
but usual isn't always. and besides, she's his sort of person. She isn't at all bothered when that fact trumps her generalizations.

Date: 2008-06-10 10:03 am (UTC)BTW, what eps have Brahm's in them, if you remember?
And on an unrelated note, if you want, I can try to describe how to turn the air conditioner off. Why it was on in the first place at that time of night I don't know.

Date: 2008-06-12 03:14 am (UTC)As for the eps, I caught you yesterday. bug me if you want a repeat/info/whatever else. And I'm working on compiling the story arc's links, as well as adding to the arc itself. Whee!

Date: 2008-06-12 03:37 am (UTC)And, could you write those eps names for me? I'm horribly forgetful and don't remember the names even though you told me. :)
And I'm probably not making sense anymore, because I'm this close to sleep. *yawns*
Seeya tomorrow.
