I just went to make tea before curling up for the night. I reached for the mug sitting on the shelf above the sink, and wet newly-washed hands+slippery stonewear=a frelling disaster I've managed to escape until now.

Like I was lucky enough to escape it tonight. Yeah, right. :/

Mug met tile floor, mug lost all but the top curve of it's handle and several sizable chips from the bottom edge. There was cursing, and there was clearing up of the bits that could be found. I now have the broken handle and the mug itself, but there are other fragments that are still missing.

Damn it, damn it, damn it! That was my favorite mug! That was a Christmas gift from my aunt Laurie! that should've lasted me twenty years!

If this is how today's going to go, I'll skip to Thursday, ta. damn it all. :/

I'm sorry to hear about your mug. Being a bit accident prone myself, I'm surprised I haven't shattered any of my dishes here already.

*wince* Oh, I hate disasters like that. Sorry to hear it was a mug you liked, too!

ouch. That does indeed sound sucky. Though at least the hot tea wasn't in said mug at the time.
