and naturally I had to make it fandom specific. :) this is the result. I'll be damned if I can remember the name of this episode though, urgh!

Summary: Drabble. Flying into a binary pulsar can get a girl thinking. B’Elana’s thoughts shortly after her release from sickbay.
Janeway is a dragon: Beautiful on the outside, enigmatic on the inside and possessed of a natural ability to breathe flame when somebody provokes her and they inevitably do, out here lightyears from anyone known. The heat extends beyond those rare, furious moments; it simmers-works-lives as a measure of sulfur in her veins and makes everything she does hot as hell, the action and the raw daring and the way she turns a first name into a caress.
When she thinks about it, Torres realizes she’s not far off that mythical mark herself and that similarities, like opposites, attract her.
