Title: Feeling Something
Author: Chanter
Series: VOY
Rating: PG13, dark
Characters/pairings: Torres/M and Torres/F (two fellow Maquis), Torres/Chakotay
Summary: For the celebrate challenge, admittedly in a weird way. Drabble. So begins the long, dark night of B’Elana’s soul. Spoilers for events beginning in Hunters.

She remembers it well; warm nights, scorched earth, blurred time out of atmosphere in shuttles her expertise kept running, Tara’s shampoo and Roberto’s cologne and the clean, earthy scent of Chakotay’s skin. They’re pleasant memories in an intense, desperate way and the real enjoyment is in the hot, subtle details.

He’s direct when he tells her about the massacre, gentle but terrifyingly blunt and it’s all she can do not to howl as she’s hit with a mental noseful of her past.

Somewhere, Cardassians are celebrating. But she’s too numb even to notice she’s trickling hot tears into her pillow.
