It was in her bones, the ability to resist--the Russian, the female officer, the commander, the telepath in her. The side of her that had loved Marcus and at the same time, loved Talia. And did love her. And would.
She had skill instructing her, Bolshevik, militarist, natural righteously-angry aggressor and she’d be damned if that sadist of a pretender president Clark would rattle her foundations.
She had ability guiding her, iron nails and eiderdown and character.
Resolutely, Ivanova lifted the microphone and began the broadcast.
