I don't say that lightly, as normalcy to me is a relatively foreign concept. here goes.
OK, that title has very little if anything to do with the reality of the day, but Salvador Dali fits the feeling I have right about now.
So I wake up, having missed my alarm *again*, and sprint off to class after getting dressed and looking presentable, which makes me late. Late, but still there and in the process of the discussion I discover I can't string a coherent sentence without losing my train of thought midway in just after my example. That sucked. My credibility went *poof*. At least it felt that way to me until after class when I was chatting with a fellow student who assured me otherwise. Still, I need a clue.
Right after class was The Appointment. Yeah, *that* appointment... not like /that/. :) It was the appointment to finally get me in meds for this whole depression thing. I don't need a repeat of spring semester, that amazing double clutch notwithstanding. The good thing about student health services is that they've seen it all twice and are *sweet*, incredibly so about everything. And the doctor totally understood my reasoning for returning and deciding to be treated medically. If it's not readily obvious to anybody I haven't chatted with via SC/NC, these last few weeks I've been slipping down the slippery slope to relapse, and it's been... well to borrow my earlier phrasing, it sucks. So I said alright Dr. Row, it's time for Charlie to sort herself out.
So that worked, and i'm now officially on meds. Let's just hope they do what they're supposed to.
Last thing I'll say about today: thank God for wonderful, kind-hearted, forgiving people... read I'sai, Theida/Griere, Shasta, and B'asil.
And Tirya made junior weyrwoman now too! Weee! Congrats, Tir. And congrats Winter, of course. You both deserve that title.
And no, I didn't take the name of my blueriding NPC Yala from this song title. Although I *could* use it as the reason she's weyrmated... stop hanging about the street indeed. Three cheers for translations!
