Oh, my lord. Can we travel in this? The forensics team is supposed to roll out of here in... *checks the clock* about an hour and a half, but I'm not too sure that's going to happen! We're in the midst of a great huge snowstorm right now, two inches on the ground (possibly three, not entirely certain) and more coming down. I just took the dog outside and when he came back in he really was a snow lab! We were both covered in the stuff, and we weren't out there more than two minutes. I bumped into Carmen when I first heard about the storm, and it was literally blowing in the open door as we were standing there talking, covering the carpet in the entryway and getting us all snowdusted. Our conversation went something like this!

Me: How bad is it snowing?
Carmen: Bad. It's *really* bad.
Me: Oh, bloody hell! I have to travel in an hour!
Carmen: Oh, man. You're not going anywhere!
Me: I *have* to, there's a tournament, there are ten of us going.
Carmen: You're not going anywhere. Good luck driving.

What a mess! I had an e-mail from the professor of the class I'm supposed to miss this morning on account of the tourny saying he might cancel class because of the storm, or since it was from earlier the impending storm, but he wasn't sure and would let us know. I suspect he'll call it off! As for the Stout trip, we'll see. I'm half expecting my phone to ring and for it to be Kate or Brandi saying "Yup, we're not going." I guess we'll see.

In short, there be a ton of snooow on the edge of the prairie! Eee!
