We were both eighteen and it felt so right, sleeping all day, staying up all night...

Here's me thinking I'd be getting back to a normal sleep schedule too.

I was way wrong. After I signed off SouCon last night I swore to myself I'd go to sleep. Well that was a bust, because I didn't. I ended up tuning in to Imagination Theater, seeing as I'd missed two episodes while I was home. Then, of course, just because I'm nosy charlie true to form, I went fanfic sniffing. And... that's a side of Commander Adama that I *really* did not need to see. Sooo glad that was AU.

I ended up sleeping *much* later than I intended, as I went to bed around... oh, six this morning. Woke up, sorted things out with the sniffery lab, and now I feel all weird even though I've been up for quite some time.

I've tuned in the news, which is incredibly sad and bound to keep me watching. :/ I'm not Catholic, but it's still an important story, and he's still a respected man, even by the usually irreverent me.

Season finales plus sleep schedules gone haywire plus stories that sober me *very* quickly... when you add being gotten by no less than three April Fool's jokes tonight - [livejournal.com profile] rajazad's which I fell for because she knew exactly what to say, [livejournal.com profile] peppygrowlithe's because I'm a doofus and he's clever, and [livejournal.com profile] kidaraine's because I knew she had friends in Denmark... and you have me feeling, tada! surreal again.

This is from a story of mine, and even though in Teyla Seely's case it has to do with long-distance space travel in short periods of time and the effects it has on the body's systems, it fits now.

"They call it half-circle time, because nothing feels entirely complete."

I need to get back into a rhythm.

But the hatching's tomorrow, so that's something good out of all this.
