Date: 2020-04-14 02:20 am (UTC)1: At first, Bill actually put me off a little. The first episode I ever saw was "Replacements," and in the scene where he's educating the newbies in Randleman's squad, the man's downright prickly, which I'm known to be sensitive to. Darned if he didn't grow on me after a little while, though. It's the ferocity mixed with honesty, I think. He takes no crap from anyone, but he's all heart, though you won't catch him admitting that aloud. Before I knew it, he'd endeared himself to me for that.
2: Definitely Fran, of course. Occasionally Toye, though I'm not sure there's romance so much as a lack of it involved if those two get entangled.
3: Bill & Babe are brothers forever. <3
4: ... Do I have an unpopular opinion about Guarnere? Well, shoot,. I'm not sure I have.
5: I wish we could have seen more of him in canon post war. Not his rehabilitation, but his life, his connections with the rest of Easy. I wish that for them all, honestly. These are the sort of men I'd happily watch having adventures all over the map, and I know that doesn't mesh with RL for most of them.
Alternately, I kind of wish we actually saw WTF he got up to with a crashed motorcycle. I mean! :)
6: I'm fairly sure I picked this up from reading one too many fanfics, but I've got it in my head that Guarnere's a better than average cook when the situation calls for it. If you don't like an Italian flare to things fancier than scrambled eggs, however, you're out of luck.
