when you read a bunch of fic...

chanter1944Because one fic leads to three more, leads to sniffing around AO3 at all hours of the night (don't judge), leads to picking up a storyline that's been in the back of your head for ages and is suddenly no longer dormant, leads to... Anyway, when you do these things, random fanon trends start becoming apparent. Like these:
*Babe Heffron is both clumsy to the power of 'Oomph, my foot! Ow!' and a truly terrible cook. I have no idea where the cooking thing came from, but it's adorably silly. I'll go with it.
*George Luz, nine times out of ten, can't sing. Aside from the instance of hanging O'Keefe out to dry, I don't know where this came from either, and contrary to above, I have every intention of subverting this one.
*On the flip side, Gene Roe *can* sing, very well, often quietly and in French. No objections here whatsoever! *coughs* That was my headcanon already *cough*.
*Tab is good with animals. This one's half canon, hi Trigger. So darn cute!
*Both Guarnere and Perconte, unlike Babe over there, are the surprise!excellent cooks who half the time end up feeding a roomful of their friends. ... I buy it.
*Toye has, beneath the rough exterior, a heart of gold, although he'll as soon sock you as admit it aloud. ... I buy this, too. Canon extrapolations are go.
*Shifty is a good roommate almost without fail. I can't see him as anything else, truly.
*Norman Dike is a twink and a half--oh wait, that's canon. For the record, that's twink in the MU*ing usage, not the one referencing pretty/delicate young men.
I really need to get more of the stories I'm working on written, gah!
