chanter1944Got seen for this depression/anxiety rubbish yesterday. The doctor in question turned out to be quite excellent (I was a little nervous about seeing a male doctor, but there was no awkwardness at all, thank goodness.) I am so, so grateful for medical professionals who don't dismiss mental illnesses out of hand. He actually made the comparison between people telling me to just stop worrying and someone telling an insulin-dependent diabetic to just try harder to make more insulin. What a relief! Do you hear that, family?
On a trial run of low dose anxiety medication, in conjunction with the depression meds. I follow up in a month. We'll see how it goes.
