Clarisse McClellan's Daughter

I first met RCI in 2002 and was thoroughly enchanted, though I was raised on many a Canadian kids show as a tiny Chanter, so the seeds (maple seeds?) were already sewn. That, and Underground Railroad stories while in grade school, and an overall far healthier relationship with bilingualism and multilingualism than the States seemed to have (ten-year-old me thought it was just the height of cool to have a whole region that spoke *French!*), and well. I was in fun trouble right from the start. :) My view's quite a bit more nuanced now, as well it'd better be, but the core's still there.
