Fzzzzt! goes the 'net

We've had an unexpected Internet outage at work, though not here. No idea if it's related to the giant Amazon kerfluffle or not, but whatever's going on, TDS has been working on it since yesterday morning. No ability to access the computer I remote into for work=no means of doing my job even a little. When it got to be noon yesterday, I called my boss and said I feel guilty getting paid to hang out over here and read. Mind if I take the rest of the day off? She did not, so yesterday afternoon was spent running errands, and my coworker, who was still able to access our order entry system as she's in the office itself, fielded phone calls.

I woke up this morning, attempted to connect, and... no dice. Called Bosslady and said one, what the heck? Two, I'm going to use up some of this PTO, if that's alright, since I can't do a darn thing over here. Evidently they're still working on getting the Internet up and running, and there's as yet no ETA on repairs. The PTO request was approved without a blink, my coworker's fielding phone calls again (nothing web-based is functioning, obviously, but at least calls can be dealt with), and I... to quote Eliza Schuyler Hamilton? Well, I'm going back to bed!
