Fandom snowflake challenge day 3 it is, and these are indeed a few of my many favorite fandom things!
In your own space, post recs for at least three fanworks that you did not create. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Put Aside Fear For Courage by SearchingforSerendipity. This is the Star Trek TOS/Young Wizards crossover that got me started on crossing these two fandoms in fic. So much love! Completely spot on for everyone represented, too, including a character you may or may not expect to be there...
Other Creatures That Have Eyes by Lotesse. This is original Battlestar Galactica, Boomer's POV at multiple points throughout the series. It includes some pitch perfect and achingly bittersweet backstory for both he and, to a lesser extent, Deetra, some marvelous, subtle black pride, and a scene involving Adama that forever leaves me flailing. Oh, sir. <3
Raise Our False Flag by Triedunture. This is Hamilton musical fic done in period language and detail to great effect. It's also Washington/Hamilton/Laurens/Lafayette, as well as Von Steuben/North/Walker/Du Ponceau. Eventual happy polyamory and lyrical old world language are not even slightly mutually exclusive! :) Oh, and ace I may be, but certain turns of phrase in chapter 8 never fail to give me the hot and cold running shiveries! No points for guessing what bits I'm referencing... :P Fair warning, this fic gets an M for mature rating and a not worksafe warning, where the other two I've linked do not merit either of those things.
