that fits President Mandela as well as it fit Gandhi. Oh no, sir. I can't believe it yet. Rest in peace as well as power, Baba Mandela. You will never be forgotten.
That man was an abdal, or the closest this universe has to them, in the Young Wizards sense of the word. He was a direct channel of bright power into the universe if there ever was one. He was genuine. Everything he did was genuine. He wasn't a person who sought to change people's minds for his own gain; making people think like him was an achievement, and an impressive one for sure, but he didn't change minds just to change them. His conscience showed. Everywhere.
I know now that it's a western myth that Mandela was a singular miracle-worker. Just the same, even among a generation of pillars, he was... He was an abdal. He was singular. He was radiant, and I don't mean that in a silly romanticized way. You could literally feel the bright presence he had just radiating from him. It came through speakers. I know that one from personal experience. Even when you were surprised or embarrassed or amused or unsettled by something he said or did, he still... just *shone* with something that balanced it all out again.

I will never forget, Baba Mandela. I will never forget you, and I know that simply remembering is not enough. The torch has been passed, sir, and may we do it some small measure of justice.
