an update, holy cow

Not feeling particularly clever or interesting or clueful at the moment. In a foul mood, if you want to get technical. It'll pass, but the generalized urge to thump someone sucks while it's here. ... Oh heck, that planet/plant typo now has me grinning. It's amazing what little things will do for a person.
Still applying for jobs all over; I'm working on an application for CapTel, which is closed captioning services in realtime. That'd be fine with me. Haven't heard back from Lussier yet, other than to be notified that they got all my info and are reviewing. We'll see there. ... God, is it ridiculous of me to keep wanting a job that's both fulfilling and useful, and not just for me, that also pays the rent? Hello, Governor Walker, I'd love to ask you that question. Doubt I'd get more than a BS answer and a bunch of careful platitudes, but I still wouldn't mind asking.
Ugh, job crap. Nobody wants to hear about that state of affairs, including me.
The fuzzball comes back from the marshland this morning; he's been up there for the Labor Day weekend, enjoying the big (read, extant) yard and the larger house. He's apparently been spending a lot of time flopped in the grass. Awww. Oh heck, I'm smiling again. All this weekend, I've kept thinking I've heard him moving around or snoring in here. I've missed him, much as he can drive me crazy at times. He's getting sooooo snuggled when he gets here. I suspect I will be thoroughly tail-wagged, licked and sniffed. :D He turns twelve tomorrow. Good lord.
