Since I did something I haven't done for... well it's been a month at least! Stayed up *all* night reading, and now am totally sci-fi-spacey, here's a quiz. Taken to pass the time before I need to get ready for class.

Your IQ Is 110

Your Logical Intelligence is Average
Your Verbal Intelligence is Genius
Your Mathematical Intelligence is Exceptional
Your General Knowledge is Above Average

Tonight was... well let's just say I'm a happy Chanter. I missed you old friend. I know that looks totally random but it's really sensible... just very narrowly so.

Off to write, or read some more, or just go get dressed and ready for class. Or something like that. To update when I'm more coherent.

Coolest. feeling. ever.

I love that sense of independence you get when you finally sort something out.

Call it a night with no sleep and *lots* of reading, then an early day getting new recruits--er, new students used to NTC, then a double O and M lesson that was due to start right as I was taking Bosco outside... and needless to say I walked *right* into the onset of another blooming summer storm. I'm just headed for the door to bring Bosco in and who comes zooming out but Renetta the receptionist at the desk and she says "Carlie, you're scaring me, let's get inside. It looks wicked." Or maybe I said it looks wicked, I dunno. Either way I knew I couldn't see the windows in the glass doors when I tried, which means it's *bad* out there. But still, I had double mobility. So I went, and Mary (instructor and fellow NPR person weee!) knew I obviously meant business because she kept asking me "Are you sure you wanna do this?" and I kept going "Absolutely." So we go. And I catch the bus. In. a. cloudburst.

And it's *awesome*.

Yes, I've ridden a bus before and no, it's nothing remarkable--I swear I'm not that sheltered! But this was just... one of those days, those amazing days. This morning I felt more like two and a quarter than seven of nine but now... *dazzle*

Er... I should probably cut this, shouldn't I? Maybe later...

@set me=drenched. Mary Anne is soaked to the skin, and this time there *is* a cloud in the sky. Like ten zillion of them really. Er... obscure television reference. Oopsie!

Going to go wring out my clothes, then shower. And oh joy, Bosco's drenched too so I've got to deal with that lovely retriever wet fur smell until he dries. Oh well, there are *far* worse smells to smell than wet fur.

I need to sleep... oh yeah, that's what I forgot to do right [livejournal.com profile] j_tgl?

Oh yeah *cleans up the puddle under her window and on her windowsill. Left the sharding thing open. At least this thingie didn't get the water torture treatment. Or the bucket o' water treatment like I did. Whew!

And I'm playing this song for Cassie! If she ever reads this, she'll get it.
