a week's work in progress
Jul. 14th, 2004 11:58 pmYup, lucky me. As of now it's... *checks time* still Wednesday night, and it feels like this week is crawling by. Someone has attached a small army of snails to the calendar.
Crazy Charlie had a class, *sings the obligatory sing-songs* E-I-E-I-EEW! A paper here and a character sketch there, here some crud, there some junk, everywhere a flakey prof... yeah, enough singing. I promise not to further torture anyone's ears. Whew! That's out of my system for a while. Yup, rants are us.
Beyond that, there was the amazing race... and yes, the team I wanted to get the boot finally *got* the boot. They were driving me twenty-seven shades of bananas with their bickering. And I thought *my* ex and I... well alright, we had a friendly split so I'm just a touch biased. Still, I can't help but wonder how mortified those two will be when they see themselves battling it out, cursing each other on national television. can we say ack? Ack! Thought so. :)
Beyond the mundane, Ista's hatching comes up this Saturday eeee! The entire candidate class is phenomenal, and I'm wishing at this point that there could be twenty or so hatchlings a la Southern Weyr's last to accomodate the lot. Trouble being there's be about ten blues and browns, and probably three or four golds! Anne would have kittens... not saying good or bad as to *that* one though I'll imply it. I'd love to see it... the unprecedented trio of goldies in Ista's hatching, not Anne having kittens. Hint hint.
All the same, I know that'll never happen and that eight of twenty-five will Impress. *quakity quakequakequiver* OK, I confess, I was far more nervous when Lina-bean stood, but all the same a hatching is a hatching is a blast. And here's me, little miss blue-only, probably one of many seeking that color. If I had to choose two bluies out of the current lot right now, I'd say Eilidh who is just plain amazing! and lela, who is equally so. coupled with the prospect of Phy Impressing a green... call it one interesting Saturday in the works.
Current mood: wired, too much soda
Current music: Evanescence, "Don't Turn Away"
