My dad waited until his parents were dead and he was in his 40s to admit to himself and everyone else that he was gay. Some of his family still won't talk to him. Some will. I hope you don't have to go through the same thing... but I have a feeling it'll take time, and patience, and there'll be lots of tears along the way.

Myself, I wouldn't care much if my son ended up bi or gay. It's /him/, and his choices. But then, I've known nearly from the time he was born that that was a greater-than-average possibility.
