No more than minor medical details below, though I do mention the abstract of being intentionally poked with a needle.

Due to an excellent stick, me having plenty of time this morning and thus the ability to give a double rather than a single unit, and the possibility of donating two rather than one units of plasma at the same time (I did not know that was possible; I thought they capped that at one), I somehow, amazingly, made *four* donated units in one go! I'm still goggle-eyed over the whole thing. :D That's my 8, and I have the pin to prove it. Must attach it to the fleece full of buttons and patches.

Thank you! :D I'm still amazed and thrilled about it. I've met people who've donated upwards of 100 gallons over the years, and that's not a typo. They put me to shame.

Thanks! :D I know you posted recently that the end of your deferral was coming up. Any success?

Not yet. I got my tattoo done on December 5th or 6th, I'd have to check which, and it's a 12 month deferral. We'll see how it goes. I'm currently taking iron supplements every other day just to be sure I can pass the hemoglobin count (it'd be every day but iron supplements have two side effects when I take them and I am working on counteracting the more uncomfortable of the two).
