on the marsh for turkey day

As the subject says, I've headed north by east-ish for a few days. So far, I've watched an episode of Survivor with Mom (The Masked Singer was a repeat, boooo), helped with meal preparations for tomorrow, scheduled a Covid vaccine booster for Saturday (yaaaaay), seen both boingy nieces, taken a shower, assisted in putting peanut butter cookies together, and discovered that the ancient pair of slippers usually kept upstairs for cold-feet-while-visiting purposes were shedding crumbs everywhere. To be fair, when I say ancient, I mean they'd each been duct taped at the sole at least once, and were crumbling apart at said sole. They've been thrown out, alas.

This whole kitchen is starting to smell pleasantly like baking peanut butter cookies. Yum.
