crummy news to wake up to

What an unpleasant surprise to have just before class. Or at all. We've lost a legend. All I can do now is turn up the music and remember.

What a sharding shame.

Didn't know you knew his work. I love it. And agreed. I have a link for you some time, live recordings from Mali with him performing in his hometown and in Timbuktu with the best singer in Mali, hands down, ever.

And yes, I only (sadly) know one album, but it's /perfect/ for the hot, dry summers we have around here. Ahh, memories.
