From a twist off of an X-men obsession and an attempt to find a way to have "Firebird" as my AOL screenname back when I first really got connected when I was 16. As I've mentioned before, I'm not good with names, so as time went on, I kept being Firebyrd here and there. So, when I finally started my LJ about three years ago, that seemed the natural name to pick since after so many years, it's as much my name as anything else, but it's specifically my online one.

It's to the point that when I mentioned trying to come up with a name for my yet-gestating company, my mom didn't see anything wrong with "Firebyrd Art," saying, "Well, that fits with your whole firebird thing." You know you've managed to stick yourself with a name when even your mom associates you with it. :)
