Give me a character you know I know, and I will tel you:
1. How I feel about this character
2. All the people I ship romantically with this character
3. My non-romantic OTP for this character
4. My unpopular opinion about this character
5. One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
6. Random pet theory about this character that you won't convince me is not true.
One limit I'm putting in place for this one. Please don't ask me anything Stargate? I can't bear it right now.

1: Call me odd, call me expectedly biased, but I'm extremely fond of Émilie. I know I'm probably equal parts projecting who I wish I were, dreaming up character traits that don't have any basis in canon, and running with scant canon information in directions the showrunners will probably never touch, but... I worry that the projecting is the most obvious, and that it crosses into self-insert Sue territory.
2: Gabriel, honestly. I'm of the belief that pre-canon Émilie both saw and encouraged his better aspects, but was not at all immune to his worse traits. The woman loves who she loves, and she's not a fool, but she is human.
3: Duusu, because oh my goodness that friendship makes me squeeful. They are so adorable. Tsurugi Tomoe, as Bladescale in the Not Alone 'verse (no spoilers).
4:
5: Canon will very likely never do this, but I would so watch a whole series with Émilie as peafowl Miraculous wielder abroad as a subtle (or occasionally not subtle) hero in Paris. This is assuming that the peafowl Miraculous was not damaged when she acquired it, but took damage later on... and here I get into my theory of just how that happened. It's been all but confirmed by canon that Émilie was wielder of the damaged Miraculous, so a series with her as bright-aligned peafowl wielder both prior to and post the event, all about her friendship with Duusu, her attempts - successful or not - to hide her dual identities from Gabriel, his attempts to hide his own dual roles from her, their conflict in and out of costume and the eventual overlap... I know, yeah right.
6: I've got it in my head that Émilie is demisexual. Also that there's at least a little English in her family, which I blame on the Graham in Graham de Vanily. Also that she had relatives active in the Résistance in Paris during the war, knows it, and is understandably proud of and inspired by the fact.

Do my concerns about reaching self-insert Sue territory make any kind of sense, though? Whether or not I've got reason to be concerned is quite another question. I mean, I'm *not* a wealthy young Frenchwoman with a twin sister and a blossoming acting career (to say nothing of the fully functioning eyeballs), but as far as certain aspects of personality go, there's no small amount of me in Émilie as I write her. There are parts of her, quirks and mental processes and ways of doing things, that match me. Does that tell? If it tells, does it detract from stories a la badfic inserts, or add to them? ... Ah frak.

I mean.
(you're fine, don't worry)
