35, eeeeeek!
I'm trying not to stare too hard down the barrel of OMG mortality at this point. So! Today was a deliberate day taken off of work, and it has involved:
*Sleeping in.
*Listening to the 8:00 hour of Wisconsin Public Radio's The Morning Show, which was all about a state-local spice shop, the history of the trade, and spice usage in general.
*Falling back asleep after that show wound up, and waking up at *mumblemumble* hour of the morning, ahem.
*Dashing to catch a bus, missing my first option but catching my just as usable second.
*Making my appointment in plenty of time, and successfully donating a single unit of platelets. :D
*Getting into a lovely conversation with a lady sitting next to me on the bus trip home.
*Ducking into the Overture Center and purchasing a ticket to Plena Libre's show in April eeee! Thank you, World Cafe, for introducing me to them when I was a teenager.
*Buying some fair trade ground coffee, because I was running low, and I much prefer to get the fairly traded stuff when I can find it.
*Petting three different dogs on the way home. Awwww.
*Receiving a QSL card from Radio NHK out of Japan. So very cool!
*Washing dishes, washing hair, trimming nails and sundry, because not everything is glamorous. Heh.
All in all, a pretty decent day, despite the bus scramble. That worked out in the end anyway. ... How the frak am I 35?
