Ooh, that'd be the the good kind of explosion! XD The absolute best of the very few His Dark Materials/Star Trek fusions I've ever found is Things by Raven Singlecrow. DS9, TNG, and a teeny bit of Voyager here. Fair warning, this is DS9's Dominion War arc meets a healthy dose of 'Dr. Bashir, I presume?' meets Odoe's lack of an externally manifest daemon as a driving plot point, plus references to Picard's time as Locutus, so it gets pretty intense. It is phenomenal though, IMO.

I haven't much delved into Sherlock fandom, as what I've seen of modern!Holmes in the few fics I have read has been... well, I haven't been too sure of him. Modern!Watson's more my speed. I'm willing to do a little more sniffing around, though. Cheers! :)
