Basically that's why I love the Orange!verse and keep prompting for it, or sponsoring when I can afford to. It's a harsh look at what would happen if the world took the rightward, neocon path at every fork. It's scary because it's plausible. Sometimes we write to imagine brighter worlds, like the Scarlet!verse; sometimes we want to say "Here there be dragons."
