Title: Expected Emotion
Author: chanter
Series: DS9, during the Jem Hadar
Rating: G
Characters/pairings: Eris/Sisko
Summary: Drabble. I should’ve been happy really. Sisko’s thoughts after Eris transports off the station.
“You have no idea what has begun here.”
I should’ve been happy really, watching her transport away - she’d betrayed me, and now she was gone.
I should’ve been relieved really; she’d given me an out. I wouldn’t be responsible for sending her to Federation prison, arranging debriefings and security and fighting my attachment all the way.
I should’ve been wary really, should’ve known through the fragmented information she’d given me that she was far more connected than she’d led me to believe.
I knew I should’ve been anything but sad, watching Eris disappear.
But I wasn’t. Not even close.
